By creating an account and using the Sheet Music Library system, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email and system notifications.

Service Description

Sheet Music Library is a digital library management system that provides:

Cataloging and organization of sheet music collections
Digital rental and tracking capabilities for library materials
Image upload and storage for sheet music covers and pages
User account management with role-based permissions
Search and discovery tools for finding sheet music

User Responsibilities

As a user of our service, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete account information
Use library materials appropriately and return them on time
Comply with copyright laws and intellectual property rights
Not engage in spam, malicious activities, or system abuse
Respect other users and maintain appropriate conduct
Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
Report security vulnerabilities or system issues promptly

Image Upload Rights and Licenses

Critical Terms for Content Upload:

You must own or have explicit permission to upload any images to our system
Uploaded images permanently become part of the library collection
By uploading content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute uploaded images
Images will remain in the system even after your account is terminated
You are solely responsible for ensuring copyright compliance of all uploaded materials
False copyright claims or uploading infringing content may result in immediate account termination
We reserve the right to remove content that violates copyright or these terms
You waive any rights to compensation for use of uploaded content within our system

Warning: Only upload content you own or have permission to share permanently. Once uploaded, images cannot be removed from the library system.

Account Management

Account Creation:

You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password
Each user may maintain only one account
Account sharing is prohibited

Account Termination:

You may request account deletion at any time through your account settings
We may terminate accounts for violations of these terms
Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted but uploaded images will remain
Outstanding rentals must be resolved before account closure

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

Uploading copyrighted content without permission
Attempting to hack, compromise, or disrupt the service
Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
Sharing account credentials with others
Using automated tools to scrape or download content
Uploading malicious files or content
Violating applicable laws or regulations

Service Availability and Support

Service Level:

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
Emergency maintenance may occur without notice

Support:

Help documentation is available at /help
Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis
We do not guarantee resolution of all technical issues

Limitation of Liability

Important Legal Notice:

This service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for data loss, system downtime, or indirect damages
Users are responsible for backing up their own data
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service, if any
We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of catalog information

Intellectual Property

Technical and Security Data

Error Logs: Retained for 6 months for system improvement
Security Incident Logs: Retained for 5 years for legal compliance
IP Address Logs: Retained for 1 year for security analysis
Session Data: Automatically deleted when session expires

Legal and Compliance Data

Copyright Notices: Retained for 10 years for legal protection
Terms Acceptance Records: Retained for 7 years for legal compliance
Account Termination Records: Basic details retained for 3 years to prevent abuse
Data Subject Requests: Request logs retained for 6 years for compliance

Data Disposal Procedures

Secure Deletion: All data is securely overwritten using industry-standard methods
Database Cleanup: Automated processes remove expired data monthly
Backup Purging: Expired data is removed from all backup systems
